About Me

When information is communicated in the language people speak, it strengthens understanding, encourages participation, and supports learning across families and generations. My work focuses on creating effective solutions that make this level of access possible for Indigenous communities.

I was raised in Oaxaca, Mexico, by my grandparents, who taught me the Triqui language and encouraged me to pursue education. They believed that education creates opportunity beyond the individual, empowering families and communities together. Because Triqui was the only language they spoke, it was the only way they shared knowledge, guidance, and life lessons with me.

For more than ten years, I have worked as a professional interpreter, supporting Indigenous families across education, healthcare, legal systems, and essential services. To expand this work beyond interpretation, I pursued a career in Software Engineering, intentionally bringing culture and technology together. Through Aprentech, I lead initiatives that preserve Indigenous languages, expand access to interpretation, and ensure these languages continue to live, grow, and be heard.
